These Terms govern your purchase and use of services from Sterling Web Studio. By subscribing or signing a proposal, you agree to these Terms.
Services
We provide website design and development, hosting and maintenance (“care plans”), search optimization, marketing and related services as described in your selected plan or written proposal.
Fees and billing
- Plans include a one-time setup fee and a recurring monthly or annual fee, billed in advance through Stripe.
- Discounts and promotional codes apply only as stated at the time of purchase.
- Advertising spend, third-party software, printing and media placement are billed separately unless stated otherwise.
- If a payment fails, we may pause services until the balance is paid.
Term and cancellation
- Essential: month-to-month after an initial three-month term.
- Growth and Signature: 12-month initial term, renewing month-to-month unless otherwise agreed.
- You may cancel future renewals from the client billing portal. Setup fees are non-refundable once work begins.
Ownership
You own your domain name, content, logos, photos and data. While your plan is active, we license the website code to you and host it on your behalf. On cancellation, you may purchase the site code under a buyout agreement or receive an export of your content.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of content you provide, including professional, medical, legal and financial claims, and for obtaining rights to any materials you supply.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the three months before the claim. We do not guarantee specific rankings, traffic or revenue.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.
